The Second Transnational Project Meeting was held in Levice, Slovakia between 3rd and 7th September 2018. The purpose of the meeting was to summarize the project progress, plan the activities which will be done between the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting and 3rd Short Training Event in České Budějovice and set up the programme for the 3rd STE. The topic for Business English will be Human Resources. We planned pretesting and testing which will consist of 20 questions on specimen lessons. New JA companies will be presented there, and Christmas will be the topic for transcultural exchange.
In the course of the project meeting we exchanged the information about the project progress in its three pillars. 6 schools have already had JA companies, they had been working properly and most of them closed their activities at the end of the school year 2017/2018, they wrote annual reports and got certificates for participation in JA programme. This is according to regulations of the JA organization that requires closing down a JA company after one school year.
According to the application form creation of a JA company was stipulated only for the second project year. However, most schools already managed to start one in the first year, only Slovenia was not part of JA scheme but they applied at Slovenian national JA organization to be part of it.
Regarding Business English competences students had specimen Business English lessons – Travel topic in 1st Short-term Training Event and Advertisement in 2nd STE, they had some Business English classes on other topics from the textbook “Market Leader – Intermediate” at their schools. We discussed the possibility of going for LCCI (London Chamber of Commerce and Industry) exam. The transnational competences were successfully implemented in the project, students have learned about the cultural and national stereotypes of involved countries and many of the students are in contact mostly via social media – Facebook page and eTwinning platform.
We discussed about the dissemination of the project, which has been done by all schools by means of articles in teacher and pedagogical press, presentations of the project at teachers and parents´ meetings, Open Days.
We concluded the meeting with an evaluation session of the work done during the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting.
To heat up in our project and remember what has been done we played a game on Kahoot and had a lot of fun with VET4SCAPE:) https://play.kahoot.it/#/k/f0aaa62f-fe54-47b0-9c21-155b6460b7ca
