3RD SHORT TERM TRAINING EVENT - ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE, CZECH REPUBLIC
DAY 1
The opening ceremony of the 3rd Short Term Training Event took part in Metropol building and it was opened by a Czech teacher Daniela Pokorná, who welcomed all teachers and students involved in VET4SCAPE project and also guests. There were also speeches of Michael Huber-Kirchberger, the project manager, the headmistress of Business Academy in České Budějovice Lenka Kubátová and the executive director of Junior Achievement Czech Republic - Martin Smrž. The school choir prepared for all a nice cultural programme - the students´anthemn and typical Czech national folklore songs.
After the opening ceremony and lunch all the students and teachers had the sightseeing in the historical town České Budějovice and students og Business Academy in ČB were in the role of guides.
Afternoon for students started with ice breaking activities and a great and interesting workshop led by the Czech teachers Daniela Pokorná and Pavla Boxanová about Christmas, where students stregthened their knowledge and information about Christmas and Christmas traditions in all 7 partner countries. Students were singing Christmas carols and talking about Christmas traditions in their countries. Students have learnt a lot and were having a great fun in group activities. Other teachers were having the first teachers´ meeting. Later on students were training for their presentations for 2nd working day with economy and English teachers.
10 December is dedicated to the Interantional Human Rights Day and that was the reason to have the workshop on this topic. Students were listening to the address of António Manuel de Oliveira Guterres - Secretary-General of the United Nations. They were working in groups on different task aimed at human rights and have learnt the anthem created especiall for this event:

DAY2
PROGRAM:
8:00 - 9:00 - Presentations of JA Companies
9:115 - 11:15 2 Specimen English Lessons - Human Resources
12:00 - 13:00 - Lunch in Budvar
13:15 - 15:00 Visit of a real company "Budvar" brewery
15:00 - 16:30 Individula preparations for the fair
The second day was started with presentations about JA companies and we continued with two specimen lessons of Business English, where the students worked again in international teams on the topic of Human recourses, with four English teachers. Three other English teachers checked if the students would be prepared them for the oral part of the LCCI exam. A company BUDVAR was visited by the students to learn some possibilities how to present a company to the public, then an individual preparation for the JA companies fair could be done (signs for the fair stalls). Meanwhile, the teachers´ meeting was held with the purpose of discussing the follow-up project.

DAY 3
PROGRAM:
8:00 - 11:00 Cultural trip to Hluboká
11:30 - 12:30 Lunch at Srdcovka
13:00 - 15:00 JA companies fair (school)
15:00 - 16:00 work at school - Film about VET4SCAPE
On the third day a cultural trip was made for the foreign participants to learn and compare information from the history. The JA companies fair was held at the hosting school which practiced the presentation and selling skills of all students. They used the signs prepared the previous day. The final scene for the film about VET4SCAPE were filmed.
DAY 4
PROGRAM:
8:30 - 10:30 - 2 Specimen English lessons - (Human resources topic)
10:30 - 11:00 - JA Company fair for students of Business Academy ČB
11:00 - 12:00 - Presentations of Job market
12:00 - 12:30 - Work at school - film about the Project
12:30 - 13:15 - Lunch in Igy
13:30 - 17:00 - Educational trip to Český Krumlov
19:00 - 21:00 Bowling and dinner
On the fourth day students were taught the next two specimen lessons again in international teams and three other English teachers checked if the students would be prepared them for the oral part of the LCCI exam. They had JA company fair for students of Business Academy in České Budějovice and then there were presentations of Job market made by sstudents´teams. Short interviews for the film about VET4SCAPE were filmed. A cultural trip to a nearby town was held, where the participants (in international teams) again gained other information about the Czech Christmas traditions.
DAY 5
PROGRAM:
8:00 - 9:30 - Christmas at church
10:00 - 12:00 - Work at school - transcultural competences, teachers´ meeting
12:00 - 13:00 - lunch at the school canteen
13:00 - 16:00 - Evaluation, final ceremony, certificates
On the fifth day, the transcultural competences were enlarged during a Christmas session in a church, where the coordinator and all the participants shared the Christmas religious traditions. Then students were tested again to evaluate what they had learned during the training event, results of pretesting and testing were compared and discussed during the second teachers´ meeting, where the teachers evaluated the whole project. Meanwhile, the students worked again on the transcultural topic – Christmas – with the hosting students.
